Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026. Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Cacy is a free educational iOS app. It has no user account and no tracking. Almost everything you enter stays on your device.
The operator holds no personal data about any user. There is no server-side user database. Three things leave your device, and they are listed below.
1. Who we are
The app is operated by Cacy App. You can reach us at info@neuraledgesolutions.com.
2. No account and no tracking
There is no sign up, no login and no user account. The app collects no analytics. It contains no advertising SDKs. It does not use the Advertising Identifier. It does not use cookies for tracking. It does not work with data brokers. It does not sell or rent data. Your information is never transmitted to insurers.
The app is completely free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no payment processing, so no payment data is ever collected.
3. What stays on your device
The following is stored only on your device:
- Quote answers, such as age, vehicle, mileage, coverage level, claims history and state or province.
- Saved policies and renewal dates.
- App preferences.
We never receive this information. Because it never reaches us, we cannot retrieve it or delete it on your behalf.
4. What leaves your device
Only these three things leave your device.
KAI assistant, optional
If you send a question to KAI, that question and the quote details you entered are transmitted to Anthropic PBC in the United States. Anthropic operates the Claude model that writes the answer. If you never open KAI, nothing is ever sent. See the Anthropic privacy policy.
Please do not enter sensitive personal, medical or financial identifiers into KAI.
Live health plan lookup, optional
If you use the live health plan lookup, your ZIP code, age and household income are sent to the CMS Marketplace API, operated by the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This is the same public service behind HealthCare.gov. It returns real plans and subsidy figures. No name is sent and no enrolment happens.
Market data refresh
The app downloads updated market data. This request contains no personal information.
5. Permissions we never request
The app never requests location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, health records or notifications.
6. Health data
The app has a health insurance section, but it collects no diagnoses, no conditions, no prescriptions and no medical history. Cacy is not a HIPAA covered entity.
7. Cross-border transfer to the United States
The two optional features above send data to recipients in the United States. That means the data is processed under United States law and may be accessible to United States authorities under the legal processes of that country.
For users in Canada, this is a transfer for processing under PIPEDA. We tell you about it here so you can decide whether to use those two optional features. If you do not use them, nothing leaves your device.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since there is no account and no server-side database, we hold no records of any user, including children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable United States state privacy laws, under PIPEDA in Canada, and under the UK and EU GDPR. These typically include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port personal data, and to object to certain processing.
There is no server-side account and no user database, so we hold nothing to access, correct, export or delete. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. The data you enter is in your own hands on your device and you can erase it at any time using the steps below.
For data you sent to Anthropic through KAI, or to the CMS Marketplace API through the health plan lookup, contact those organisations directly, since they hold that data and we do not.
10. How to erase your data
Open Settings in the app, then Your data, then Clear my data. Deleting the app from your device also removes everything it stored.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the Last updated date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
